Haryana Police running from JAATS : This video of Haryana Police running for shelter to protect themselves from the Jat protesters has gone viral.
The Jaats may or may not have their way when the dust settles on their violent agitation for quotas in jobs and colleges. But Haryana is now staring at the spectre of a revenge play: a possible backlash from the state’s predominant and powerful non-Jat communities like Sainis, Bishnois and assorted Punjabi castes. And if this script plays out, Haryana’s glory days as one of India’s richest and most investment-friendly states may well be over.
Seeking early restoration of peace in Haryana, former chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on demanded a probe by a sitting judge of the Supreme Court to investigate the violence during the Jat quota agitation. He also demanded resignation of the Manohar Lal Khattar government on moral grounds along with early grant of compensation to those who suffered during the violence.
“The whole matter should be got investigated through a sitting Judge of the Supreme Court so that the truth may come out and culprits be identified.
