Viral Story of Canadian Govt Issuing Sikh Guru Coin False

Toronto February 13, 2016 – A picture has gone viral on social networks which appears to show a graphic image of a coin with Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s photo engraved inside it. The caption reads that the Canadian government issued the coin “in recognition of Sikhism and honoured Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.”

However, the story and coin are completely false and no such coin was issued by the Canadian government. Also, upon further observation the fake coin reads “King of King” and proper grammar should be “King of Kings.”
