USA Sikhs Ask PM Modi to Rename Indira Gandhi Airport to Guru Nanak Dev International Airport

Members of the Sikh community in the United States met with PM Modi in Houston while the Indian Prime Minister attended the ‘Howdy Rally.’ The Sikh community members praised PM Modi for certain key decisions by the government since it came to power for the second time.

The Sikh delegation handed PM Modi a memorandum with certain demands. The Sikhs asked PM Modi to take action in regards to the 1984 Sikh Genocide, to address Article 25 of the Indian Constition, Anand Marriage Act, and other visa related matters. ;

One of the demands was to rename Indira Gandhi International Airport to Guru Nanak Dev International Airport. The Sikh delegation thanks PM Modi for speeding up the Kartarpur Corridor construction and initiative.
