Video: In a U-Turn, the Akal Takht, the supreme temporal seat of the Sikhs, on Friday revoked its pardon to Ram Rahim in the 2007 blasphemy case.
Jathedars decided to revoke its September 24 pardon at a meeting of the five Sikh high priests in Amritsar, two days after a violent flareup in Kotkapura town that left two people dead and more than 60 injured.

Today the Akal Takht Jathedar, Gurbachan Singh, issued a press note stating a U-turn on its decision dated 26th September 2015, to pardon cult leader Ram Rahim. The issuing of the pardon was met with worldwide condemnation and a call for ‘Sarbat Khalsa’ (special assembly of the Khalsa nation) to replace the caretaker of the Sikh’s supreme seat – the Jathedar of the Akal Takht. Gurbachan Singh has proved time and again, to be an ineffective leader and has sold out the Sikh panth to the highest bidder.
Where is the Jathedari of Nawab Kapoor Singh, who in the 1730′s led the Sikhs through one of our darkest periods in history? Nawab Kapoor Singh never forgot he was the SERVANT of the Sikh panth and even though he held the esteemed position of Nawab, he contnued to make Guru ka langar with the rest of the sangat and would himself, muck out the horses stables each day.
Where is the Jathedari of Baba Deep Singh who led by example and was true to his word? Baba Deep Singh gave his head to liberate Sri Harmandir Sahib in the 1750′s.
