SIKHS & PANTHIC PERSONALITIES FROM ACROSS THE WORLD PAY TRIBUTES TO BAPU TARLOK SINGH JI AGWAN – BABA RANJIT SINGH KHALSA DHADRIANWALE & OTHERS TO DO DIWAANS AT HASSANPUR IN SUPPORT OF PEACEFUL HUNGER STRIKE
Thousands have attended the last rites of Satkarjog Bapu Tarlok Singh Ji on 12 May 2015, as well as the Akhand Paath Sahib Bhog and Antim Ardaas that took place on 17 May 2015. Due to a long pending physical ailment, the praiseworthy father of Amar Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh Ji recently passed away on 8 May 2015 at Fortis Escorts Hospital where he was under medical treatment for the last few weeks.
Sikh organisations and Panthic personalities from across the world have paid homage to the great soul, including Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara who has relayed a message through a letter from jail addressed to the Sikh Sangat as per online Sikh media reports.
Panthic Parcharak Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale has visited the family of Bapu Tarlok Singh Ji at village Agwan near Gurdaspur to express deep grief over his passing and pledged on-going support in standing with the family.
Bapu Tarlok Singh had often praised the internationally renowned and highly inspiring Diwaan by Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa called “Anokha Viyah” about the unique ‘photo wedding’ of Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh Ji and Bibi Surinder Kaur Ji. This Diwaan had inspired large numbers of Sikhs to become Amritdhari.
It is forever inscribed on the glorious pages of Sikh history that it was warriors Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh Ji and Shaheed Bhai Beant Singh Ji, along with Shaheed Bhai Kehar Singh Ji who gave the ultimate sacrifice to the Khalsa Panth by bringing to justice the Indian Prime Minister responsible for the 1984 attack on Sri Akal Takht Sahib and the Darbar Sahib Complex.
After his son’s martyrdom, Bapu Tarlok Singh Ji fulfilled his Panthic responsibility unwaveringly with full dedication. For over 26 years, he said “Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh” on behalf of his martyred son, as per his sons wishes, to thousands of Sikhs from every Panthic stage on which he spoke. Bapu Tarlok Singh Ji will be a shining gem in Sikh history.
In the meanwhile, the peaceful hunger strike to free Sikh political prisoners by 82-year old Bapu Surat Singh continues at Hassanpur. A five day Samagam has been organised from 17 to 21 May 2015, with Diwaans by various Parcharaks to take place every evening in order to create awareness of the campaign. Baba Ranjit Singh Khalsa Dhadrianwale will be doing a Diwaan on the final day at village Hassanpur, 21 May 2015 from 7pm to 10pm. A large number of Sikhs from across the region are expected to attend.
