The worldwide Sikh community has expressed outraged after the teaser release of the upcoming Bollywood film “A Flying Jatt.” The film shows a superhero called “Flying Jatt” whose dress and appearance hurts Sikh sentiments.

The clean shaven hero with his kesh cut is seen wearing Sikh religious symbols such as the Turban with a Khanda, Khanda on his suit, and Kara on both arms.

Several Sikh groups have written to the censor board over the stoppage of the film but it appears the film will now face larger protests by Sikhs. According to sources, producers of the film were warned of legal cases if the Sikh appearance of the super hero wasn’t changed.
