The industry made a come back in Italy after Sikhs came to the rescue by taking over jobs that Italians refused to do. The Sikhs migrated to mozzarella country of Italy after jobs became available in abundance.

The 60,000 strong Sikh community have not only saved the mozzarella industry but also the overall cheese industry by working hard and putting in long hours.

The article reveals towards the end that workers without contracts get paid a mere 3.50 euros and those working in farms only get paid 1 euro for every hour they work.
