Why do Sikhs serve cold drinks in the Summer time which is known as “Chabheel’ or sweet water?

How is it related to Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji?

400 years ago in 1606, Mughal Emperor Jahangir asked Guru Arjan Dev Ji to change Gurbani.

Guru Arjan Dev Ji refused to alter any word of Gurbani.

Guru Ji was tortured on a hot plate with hot sand poured on top of them.

This why Guru Sahib is called ‘Shaheeda De Sartaaj’

The story doesn’t end there because Sikhs turned negativity into positive by serving cold sweet drinks in the summer in rememberance of the sacrifice of Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji.
