Sarwan Singh, 28, quickly took off his turban to use it to free the stricken dog from an irrigation canal in Punjab, India.

Sikh Sarwan Singh, 28, immediately removed his turban to use as a rope and tried to scoop up the dog when he noticed the animal was drowning in an irrigation canal in Punjab, India.

He then gives on end of the long material to his friends at the top of the steep banks of the canal and uses it as a rope to steady himself as he lower himself down closer to the water.
