Sikh Man Used Turban to Save Life of Stabbing Victim in Canada Honored by Canadian Police

The Canadian police RCMP honored a Sikh man Jashan Singh Sangha for saving the life of a stabbing victim in 4200 block of Village Square, Whistler Canada.

A stabbing in Whistler Village left three injured on February 11, 2019 after a fight broke out between two groups.

Jashan was working as a taxi driver and came to the aid of one of the victims who had suffered a life threatening wound. Singh used his turban to stop the bleeding and rushed the man to the hospital.

The man told the press he was glad to have helped someone.

“Without hesitation Mr. Sangha came to the victim’s aid,” said Whistler RCMP Staff Sgt. Paul Hayes in a statement. “Without concern for himself, Mr. Sangha went above and beyond to assist this individual and showed great care and compassion for a member of our community. I am very appreciative of Mr. Sangha’s actions that day.”
