The President of the United States of America has added the second Sikh person to his administration by choosing Daleep Singh as the Deputy National Security Advisor, a key position in the Biden Administration. About a month ago, Sabrina Kaur was chosen as Deputy Press Secretary and became the first Sikh to be part of a US President’s administration.
Daleep worked for the Obama administration and will now hold offices in the National Economic Council and also in the NSA, National Security Advisor.
The National Security Advisor is a key role as the President takes the advice from the NSA to make important policy decisions.
Sikhs around the world expressed happiness over a minority person being chosen for such an esteemed position.
Daleep worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York as the head of the Markets Group and for the US Department of Treasury from 2011 to 2017. He was also the Deputy Assistant Secretary for International Affairs.
