Supinder Singh Kehra was assaulted for wearing his turban in what police are categorizing as a “racially motivated attack” in Quebec City.
Supinder was out for a walk with his friend when several men verbally harassed the two over their turbans.
Supinder and his friend avoided the men and continued walking while trying to hail for a cab and that’s when the men approached them.
The men attacked the two Sikhs punching them in the face which resulted in their turbans being knocked down.
The friend of Kehra was quick to turn on his phone camera to record part of the incident.
Coincidently, a police car arrived on the scene coming to the aid of the two Sikh men. The suspects were arrested by Quebec police and charges of assaulting a citizen and threatening a police officer were placed.
