Sikh Businesses Burned in Bhajanpur Delhi

Many Sikhs businesses were burned down in Bhajanpur section of Delhi. Several Sikh car and motorcycle showrooms were burned down including a petrol pump owned by Sikhs.

The Sikh business person stated that the event reminded him of 1984 when his family’s business were burned down. The Sikh man stated that the riots occurred in broad day light and situation was out of control.

Other eyewitnesses stated that there was stone pelting from both sides and one side overpowered the other and started to burn the stores.

There were several showrooms burnt during the Delhi riots and among those as that of a Sikh. A BBC report revealed that one of the car show rooms that were burned belonged to a Sikh businessman.
