After Donald Trump’s historic victory of defeating Hillary Clinton, majority of people in the nation were stunned. Sharp reactions appeared on social networks with people speaking out against the electoral college for favoring Trump in the election despite Hillary Clinton winning the popular vote.
Many in the minority communities were fearing a backlash after the victory as the white supremacists would get emboldened over Trump’s victory. Several racist group members of the KKK appeared on top of a bridge in North Carolina celebrating the victory.
It wasn’t long until even Indian Americans were told to “Go Back” throughout the country. The angry tone of the country has caused protests throughout the major cities with people openly stating they will not accept Donald Trump as their President.
It’s important to be reminded that Harmeet Kaur Dhillon conducted the Sikh Ardass (prayer) before the nomination of Donald Trump as the Republican Candidate for President.
