Shiva Sena Workers Attack BJP Leader Sudheendra Kulkarni in Mumbai

Sudheendra Kulkarni was attacked with black paint by Shiv Sena workers for organizing an event of book launch of Pakistan foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri.

In what looks like brazen attempt to defend the ink attack on Sudheendra Kulkarni, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut today termed it as a “very mild form of democratic protest”. “This is not paint, this is martyrs’ blood,” Raut claimed, referring to the black paint smeared on Kulkarni’s face.

He also said that no one could foretell on how public anger would explode. Shiv Sena activists today allegedly smeared black ink on the face of ORF chairman Sudheendra Kulkarni for organising former Pakistan foreign minister Khurshid Mahmud Kasuri’s book launch in Mumbai.

“We are going to go ahead with the program. We are not going to be frightened by such activities,” Kulkarni told TIMES NOW Kasuri is scheduled to attend the launch of his book ‘Neither a Hawk nor a Dove: An Insider’s Account of Pakistan’s Foreign Policy’ in Mumbai. Sena had demanded that the event be scrapped and had threatened to disrupt it. Maharashtra’s Home department, headed by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, had, however, assured the organiser of full security.
