Former AAP leader Amandeep Kaur from Ferozepur becomes the last week face of revolt in the party, she discussed the things with Surinder Singh in Talking Punjab
The Aam Aadmi Party is facing protests over multiple women’s welfare issues.
Party MLA and former Delhi law minister Somnath Bharti faces imminent arrest in connection with the complaint filed by his wife, Lipika Mitra. And if that’s not bad enough, a party leader from Punjab, Amandeep Kaur, has lodged a strong protest alleging sexual harassment by male volunteers from the party.
Amandeep Kaur said: “I feel ashamed now to say that I used to work for the Aam Aadmi Party. This party only belongs to ‘men’
AAP, however, said her complaint was probed but nothing substantial came out of the investigation.
An AAP leader said: “Investigations, though, are still on. If we find something credible, we will take action.”
On Bharti, AAP distanced itself from the matter with a party leader saying: “This is a personal matter and we have nothing to say on it. We respect the judiciary and law will take its course.”
