Screening of “Nanak Shah Fakir” Suspended for 2 Months in Punjab

The film ‘Nanak Shah Fakir’ which was all set to release this Friday has been suspended by the Punjab Govt for 2 months. The film was openly objected by the SGPC and Akal Takht for the depiction of Guru Nanak Dev Ji.

The film has been in the news since the release of it’s teaser showing depiction of the first Sikh Guru. The film was screened at the Cannes, Sikh Lens, and Toronto film festivals last year.
