#RefugeesWelcome: Users Show Support for Syrian Refugees With Hashtag on various social media.
On Wednesday, the White House wrote a series of posts using the hashtag #RefugeesWelcome. The hashtag was first used during the European migrant crisis in September.
Even The White House Tweeted:
“Slamming the door in the face of refugees would betray our deepest values. That’s not who we are. And it’s not what we’re going to do.” —President Obama: go.wh.gov/RefugeesWelcome #RefugeesWelcome
Refugees have helped shape America. One even happened to co-found Google. To slam the door in their faces would be a betrayal of our values. It would be un-American. go.wh.gov/RefugeesWelcome #RefugeesWelcome
Amenesty International Tweeted:
The United States is country of immigrants and refugees. A country that in its finest moments has tried to help others in need. That spirit is needed now more than ever. #RefugeesWelcome
