Rare Image of ‘Chamkaur Di Garrhi’ Heritage Site Before Destruction Surfaces

A rare image from 1987 has surfaced which shows ‘Chamkaur Di Garhi’ before the destruction by the Kar Sewa Babe. The historic Chamkaur Garrhi was where the historic Battle of Chamkaur took place where 48 Singhs took on 1 million Mughal troops.

The battle was where the 2 older sons of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji became martyrs.

The historic site was destroyed by the famous Kar Sewa Babe who in the name of Sewa have destroyed hundreds of Sikh heritage sites. The Kar Sewa Babes are no experts in restoration of historic buildings.

Some of the other known places they have destroyed are the historic Qila at Sri Anandpur Sahib and interior of Baba Atal tower at Sri Amritsar Sahib.
