A youngster by the name of Kamapreet Singh lost his life in a road accident involving a truck in Australia yesterday. Kamalpreet was from Dhurkot Ranshian village and had been studying in Perth, Australia for nearly a year and a half.

According to family members Kamalpreet was headed to his job driving a small truck and stated to reporters, “Suddenly the driver of the vehicle lost control and the truck turned over outside the Perth city. Kamalpreet Singh was seriously injured and was rushed to the local hospital, but doctors declared him dead,” said Avtar Singh former sarpanch of Dhurkot Ranshian.

Jalaur Singh, father of the deceased said, “When my son had completed ILETS (International English Language Testing System) successfully and took flight for Australia on study basis visa we thought that our all problems will now come to an end as my hardworking son will emerge successful in Australia. But fate had something else in store for my family.”

“We would try to bring back Kamalpreet Singh’s body in India as soon as possible and we would also approach to the Punjab government to help us out in this,” he added.
