Punjab Police on Fake News Vs Indian National Media

According to PTC and Punjab Police, The news of tension in Amritsar and deploy of para military force is fake, false and just rumours. But Indian Prominent channels and Prominent newspapers are telling different story.

Three companies each of the BSF have been deployed in districts of Amritsar, Ludhiana and Jalandhar, while one has been deployed in Tarn Taran.

Tension has been prevailing in the state since incidents of holy book sacrilege have come to light sparking protests across the state.

Central forces were deployed in key cities of Punjab this afternoon in view of the statewide protests over the desecration.

Six BSF companies, with 77 jawans each, have already reached Punjab amid deteriorating law and order situation.

The decision to deploy BSF came following a telephonic conversation between Union home minister Rajnath Singh and Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal on Monday.

Paramilitary forces have been deployed in Amritsar, Ludhiana and Jalandhar cities of Punjab amid protest over the sacrilege of the holy book of Sikhs – Guru Granth Sahib.

Meanwhile, Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has called an emergency meeting of cabinet ministers on Tuesday to discuss the ongoing protest by several Sikh groups in Punjab.
