German police have arrested 2 teenagers age 16 years over the bombing of a Gurdwara Sahib in the city of Essen. Police have called the incident as an “act of terror.”

One of the arrested turned himself in while the other was arrested at his home. The motive of the attack is not yet known but the police have stated that the two boys had links to Islamic extremism and investigating whether the boys had larger links.

According to the Guardian, 120 German policemen investigated the attack and stated that more arrests will be eminent.

The German Minister of the Interior for the state of North Rhine Westphalia Ralg Jager told reporters that the boys were under the radar before the attack.

The German police have release CCTV video of the man who threw a bomb at the Germany Gurdwara Sahib in the city of Essen. The police formed a special committee to investigate the attack and managed to obtain CCTV images of the man.
