PM Modi visits Sri Harmandir Sahib in his day long trip to Amritsar. He started off the visit by first arriving at National Martyrs Memorial at Hussainiwala village in Firozpur, Punjab where he gave an hour long speech.

Shortly after, he arrived at Sri Harmandir Sahib where a massive crowd can be seen following him. It appears as if the line at Sri Harmandir Sahib was disrupted just for Modi which usually happens when “dignitaries” come. The maryada is only for the common man but so called people of position break the maryada continuously. When Mughal Emperor Akbar visited Guru Amar Das Ji he had to first sit in pangat to have langar but Modi immediately left after visiting Sri Harmandir Sahib.

Soon after, PM Modi visited Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar to pay his respects to the Martyrs in the horrible massacre by the British government in 1919.
