Following the Punjab Assembly election results, AAP volunteers have expressed disappointment over the results and threw the blame on the AAP Punjab coordinators Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak. The talk on social media of the two being expelled from party decisions for Punjab heated up after a video from February 4th of Sanjay Singh surfaced on social media.
The video showed the overconfidence of the AAP National team by celebrating as if the results had already been announced. The video further created an uproar among the AAP workers as it mocked HS Phoolka and Bhagwant Mann, the party’s most popular names.
The petition was seen widely circulated on social media particularly by AAP volunteers.
The petition reads:
“After the debacle of 2017 Punjab election, All the volunteers of AAP Punjab want Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak who were in charge of the party in Punjab to resign or to be removed from there positions immediately. They should have taken the responsibility and resigned from there positions but that didn’t happen. With this petition we are appealing to Arvind Kejriwal, Please listen to the voice of all the volunteers of Punjab and overseas as well and remove Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak from their positions because volunteers have lost faith in them. Also, we don’t want leaders from Delhi in Punjab unless they are requested by Punjab leaders.
Please Sign this petition and help us to remove Sanjay Singh and Durgesh Pathak from their positions.”
