While all the politicians left Sri Patna Sahib following the speeches of major politicians at Gandhi Maidan at Sri Patna Sahib, Nitish Kumar was the only politician to stay for the Bhog ceremony at Takht Sri Patna Sahib. It’s remarkable how much Satkar (respect) Nitish Kumar has for the Sikh religion that even after doing incredible seva for the 350th Gurpurab celebrations he attended the Bhog.
Bhai Sahib Bhai Mohinder Singh Ji of the Nishkam Sevak Jatha accompanied him during the bhog and both left together. Sources have revealed that Nitish Kumar has great interest to learn about the Sikh faith while preparing for the 350th celebrations of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib’s birth.
Many are hoping Nitish Kumar gets blessed with by Sri Guru Gobind Singh Sahib for even more seva and rule.
Bihar CM has worked hard for the last 8 months to make the Parkash Utsav Celebrations as grand and comfortable as possible. He’s looked into all the planning personally in the last months from advertising about 350th Parkash Purb by posters and hoardings all over India, on TV channels, newspapers and going to Sri Anandpur sahib to invite Sangat from Punjab.
From building tent cities for Sangat which can house 1-Lakh Sangat , to special free ferries, buses, security, 3-day ban on meat shops (liquor is already banned in Bihar), 3-day Public holiday, Nitish Kumar has done immense sewa which no other Chief minister or politician has done in Independent India.
Sikhs who are attending the celebrations have all praised the arrangements made by Nitish Kumar and Bihar Government.
