NBA Player Satnam Singh Says “No Hope For Players in Punjab and India”

Satnam Singh became the first athlete from Punjab to be drafted into the NBA, the richest sports league in the United States. A minimum contract in the league is 100,000 dollars and highest is 100 Million dollars.

Satnam Singh told a reporter that there is no hope for players in Punjab and India because there isn’t any help available for athletes. He expressed his disappointment that many players can make a difference internationally but due to circumstances never come forward.

He criticized the Kabaddi league by stating the benefit of spending millions on Kabaddi hasn’t yielded much. He said he wants the athletes in India to not have to listen to screams from parents and for them to pursue their goals.

He said currently he doesn’t see any hope because there hasn’t been any drastic changes in the program of sports in India.
