Navjot Singh Sidhu Delivered a strong speech at the Congress rally for farmers. The head of the Congress party Rahul Gandhi was present in the rally. Navjot Singh Sidhu stated that black laws were passed without any debate and were against the federal structure of the country.
He went onto say that he opposed the laws as they will take away the ‘mandi’ markets setup for farmers in Punjab. Navjot Sidhu further stated that the current system brings about 5,000 crores to the state which would be lost as a result of the new law.
At one point during the speech, Sukhi Randhawa attempted to alert Sidhu that his time was up but Sidhu responded by saying, “Don’t need to alert a horse, a signal is enough. You’ve made me sit long enough.” Navjot Sidhu attempted to say that he was enough silenced by the party and he didn’t need anyone to tell him his time was up.
