Mumbai-Haridwar Express Collides With EMU Train in Haryana

At least one person was killed and several others injured when a local train rammed into the Lokmanya Tilak Express in foggy conditions in Haryana’s Palwal district on Tuesday morning.

The driver of the local Palwal-Ghaziabad EMU was killed, while the assistant driver of the train and guard of the express train were injured in the mishap, Northern Railway spokesperson Neeraj Sharma said.

Officials said that around 9 am the EMU (electric multiple unit) shuttle train rammed into the rear end of the Mumbai-Haridwar express which had halted on the same track.
