Multiple Cases Filed in Court After Failure to Rescue Fatehveer Alive

Multiple lawyers and concerned citizens have filed petitions in various courts throughout Punjab for the negligence which led to the death of Fatehveer Singh inside the borewell. A total of four cases were filed in court to get to the bottom of the negilience and to hold all officials accountable to Fatehveer’s death.

Advocate has called for a judicial inquiry of the entire incident of all involved in rescue operations and causes of delays.

Advocate Simran Kaur Gill has filed a petition in court on the negligence and contempt of court incidents that occurred during the Fatehveer rescue.

The advocate has alleged that the family was severely harassed by constant demanding the family for their needs. Some of the demands were asking for tea, AC room, and comfort in a empty house. She further stated that the family was providing fresh food to the administrative people present and instead of eating langar they demanded fresh food from the family.

She questioned why trained professionals weren’t onsite with the proper equipment.

She further stated that there was no need for the Dera volunteers to show up and it was simply to highlight themselves after their negative publicity in recent years.

The petition was filed in court and the hearing will take place on Monday.
