Mosque Opens Doors to Honor Sahibzaade


Mosque opened it’s own doors for the Shaheedi Jor Mela for a 3 day event marking the commemoration of the Chote Sahibzaade Shaheedi. The three day Sikh langar will be held in honor of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Ji at the mosque. The mosque was built by Saifuddin, grandson of Shaikh Ahmad Faruqi Sirhindi.

The Muslims living in and around Fatehgarh Sahib said that the Sahibzaade made a sacrifice not just for the Sikh religion but for all religions because it was a test of truth overcoming evil. They further stated that true Muslims of the time did speak out against the act of of bricking the Sahibzaade alive but the evil emperors of the time buried religion over power.

The 3-day community kitchen will observe the martyrdom of the sons of Guru Gobind Singh.

The members of the mosque said that the two communities live in harmony and they were happy to join in with the Sikh community to remember the Sahibzaade.
