Prime Minister Narendra Modi has tweeted his regrets for the inconvenience caused to Chandigarh by his visit to the city today. The PM said on Twitter that an inquiry will hold officials responsible for the arrangements that threw residents’ life into disarray.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday apologised to the people of Chandigarh for inconvenience caused by the authorities due to his visit to the city.

Schools in Chandigarh were closed due to PM’s visit. Modi apologised for that and said he would order an inquiry into this.

Modi on Twitter stated:

“The inconvenience caused to citizens in Chandigarh, especially shutting of schools due to my visit is regretted. It was totally avoidable.”

“An inquiry will be held & responsibility will be fixed for the inconvenience caused to the people of Chandigarh.”
