Two Sikh men used their turbans to rescue a drowning woman in Ropar, Punjab. The men named Jagtar Singh and Jasvinder Singh helped rescue a the woman in the river. The two youth were not good swimmers but they managed to use their turban to help recover the woman back to shore.
The men were headed to work and were spotting peacocks around the river and saw a woman who went straight into the river.
The men had no type of rescue equipment with them and realized the turban on their hand was the only possible way to rescue the woman. The men said they follow the Sikh principles and found it their duty to rescue the woman even by risking their life.
