Meet Mann Kaur 97 Year Old Sprinter
She defies age and have proved that barriers exist only in the mind. Meet mother-son duo of Mann Kaur (97) and Gurdev Singh (74), whose stamina, speed and skill would make even the great sprinter Usain Bolt marvel.
Mann, who belongs to Chandigarh, has raced her way to glory in many championships with training from her son Gurdev, who lives in Canada and is also an extraordinary runner. Mann lives in Sector 40 and has made Sikhs proud once again by winning five medals at the 2013 Canadian Masters Athletics.
This competition was held in Canada from July 26-28. Mann won the medals in +95 category – 100 metre, 200 metre, 400 metre, shotput and javelin throw.
Gurdev Singh, on the other hand, won a gold medal in +74 category in 100 mere relay race and two silver medals in 100 metre and long jump.

She won gold medals for the first time in 2009 in Chandigarh at the State Veterans Athletics Championship. She, then, won gold medals at 2010 National Veterans Athletics Championship. She grabbed two gold medals at the 2012 World Masters Athletics Championship. She got the title of Athlete of the Year by America in 2011.
