A massive manhunt for Ludhiana man Surinder Partap has began after he tweeted ‘Operation Badala’ onboard a Jet Airways flight say police. The man made an explosives threat on twitter saying he planted a device in the Jet Airways flight 9W-536 going from Mumbai to Dubai.

However, there was no such device on board after inspecting the plane during an emergency landing at Muscat. The Ludhiana police have started a manhunt of the individual after being contacted by security agencies.

The SHOs of all Ludhiana police stations were sent screenshots of the tweet and haves started the man hunt.

The entire tweet read; Terming this mission as ‘Operation Badla’ the man wrote, “bo** spotted in ‪#‎JetAirways‬ 9W-536 from Mumbai to Dubai dep AT 12.25 from CSIA… Operation Badla.’ (sic)

In a separate tweet the man claimed to be in the infamous Vyapar Scam.

Police are claiming the man probably did a mischief to create a stir and or panic.

ADCP crime Mukhwinder Singh told the Indian Express “Most probably it is fake Twitter account but even then legal action is due against accused for creating panic. We are on the job and accused will be arrested soon,” he said
