October 28, 2015- Panthic groups submitted a letter asking for permission to hold the scheduled Nov 10, 2015 Sarbat Khalsa at Manji Sahib Diwan Hall.

The decision to ask the SGPC permission has raised eyebrows because SGPC Head Avtar Singh Makkar has already denied the holding of any Sarbat Khalsa without prior approval from the Akal Takht Jathedar.

Head of the United Akali Dal Mohkam Singh along with Shiromani Akali Dal Amritsar’s Harbir Singh Sandhu gave the letter to the newly appointed controversial Chief of Secretaries Harcharan Singh. Harcharan Singh handed the letter over to SGPC Head Makkar who quickly denied to any granting of permission.

Throughout Punjab, SGPC members are being questioned and thrashed for their inability to address the sacrilege issue which has engulfed Punjab in unrest. Meanwhile, ‘Panthic’ groups are looking for approval from the same SGPC which has failed miserably revealing either Panthic Sarbat Khalsa has been sabotaged or a larger unknown agenda is at play.

Some of have stated that it was a formality to ask SGPC for permission given legal reasons while others have stated the Sarbat Khalsa Committee has been sabotaged. The truth is concealed and unknown but one thing is for sure that Manji Sahib Diwan Hall would be impossible to hold Sarbat Khalsa due to shortage of space.
