Kartarpur Inaugural Plaque Changed After Protests on Absence of Punjabi

Harsimrat Kaur Badal announced that the inaugugral plaque of the Sri Kartarpur Sahib Corridor was replaced with one that has Punjabi on the top.

The old sign caused outrage due to Punjabi being missing and being composed of mostly Hindi and English.

Harsimrat Kaur Badal wrote on Twitter:

” With respect to the sentiments of #Punjabi brethren, I have done the needful in getting the inaugural plaque of #KartarpurCorridor re-written in Punjabi. Our motherland and mother-tongue are of paramount importance to us and we shall not brook any compromise in the matter. “

Harsimrat Kaur Badal tweeted about the change of the sign:
