John Abraham To Play Sikh Character in Post Partition Film

For the first time Bollywood actor John Abraham will play a Sikh character in Nikhil Advani’s new film. The film which is a story set in post partition of 1947 is a cross border love story.

The 1947 based flick will be a love story that goes unfinished until the character of John Abraham brings closure to the story.

Aditi Rao told NDTV:

“John and I play a couple in 1946-47, whose love story remains unfinished and unrequited till Arjun’s character feels the need to bring it to closure. Films like these are rarely made today, so I was quick to come on board,” said an excited Aditi Rao Hydari.

Meanwhile, Taran Adarsh, in his tweet wrote: “First look… John Abraham and Aditi Rao Hydari in a cross border love story that spans generations. The duo enact special roles in the film (not titled yet)… Stars Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh. Directed by Kaashvie Nair.” In a separate tweet.
