A Tweet has gone viral on social media where the Governor of Tripura stated that “Sikhism to be nearest to perfect religion.” Many among other communities on Twitter weren’t so happy he made the statement and he responded very intelligently.

On Twitter Tathagata Roy writes:

A user on Twitter asked the Governor why he made such a statement to which Mr. Roy responded:

A user by the name of Ishkavya asked the governor that there are many fights which occur among the people of the Sikh religion and so why he issued such a statement.

Roy responded:

Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy has said that although he is a Hindu, he personally considers Sikhism to be the nearest thing to the perfect religion. He congratulated Sikhs on their worldwide humanitarian efforts and applauded their efforts to uphold their faith in the toughest times.
