A Tweet has gone viral on social media where the Governor of Tripura stated that “Sikhism to be nearest to perfect religion.” Many among other communities on Twitter weren’t so happy he made the statement and he responded very intelligently.
On Twitter Tathagata Roy writes:
I am a Hindu,but I personally consider Sikhism to be the nearest thing to the perfect religion https://t.co/wcZ6TLQ06K

A user on Twitter asked the Governor why he made such a statement to which Mr. Roy responded:
See my other tweet. Basically work ethic,fellow feeling,broadness of mind,respect for elders & a duty to avenge any assault

A user by the name of Ishkavya asked the governor that there are many fights which occur among the people of the Sikh religion and so why he issued such a statement.
Roy responded:
That is why I said "the nearest thing to a perfect religion". I looked at their pluses and minuses and came to this conclusion

Tripura Governor Tathagata Roy has said that although he is a Hindu, he personally considers Sikhism to be the nearest thing to the perfect religion. He congratulated Sikhs on their worldwide humanitarian efforts and applauded their efforts to uphold their faith in the toughest times.

“Sikhs don’t mess with others’ religions, but if others mess they’ll be taught a lesson for 14 generations to remember,” he tweeted. Roy also shared a video on Twitter about Sikhism.
