How Pakistan Airlines Crashed in Karachi Killing 109 On Board

A plane carrying 107 people crashed into a residential neighborhood in Karachi Pakistan. The plane an Airbus A320 carried 107 people from Lahore. The plane crash was reported close to the Karachi airport. The plane was identified as a military plane operated by the Pakistan International Airlines.

A spokesperson for the aviation authority stated the following:

“The plane crashed in Karachi. We are trying to confirm the number of passengers but initially it is 99 passengers and eight crew members,” said Abdul Sattar Khokhar, the spokesman for the aviation authority.

Abdul Sattar, the spokesperson for the Pakistan International Airlines stated that the plane carried 90 passengers along with 8 crew members and was to land at Jinnah International airport from Lahore. A rescue operation started in Karachi as emergency personnel arrived on scene. Videos of the incident went viral on social media showing the plane in the middle of a residential neighborhood.
