An horrific accident took place on the Jalandhar-Ludhiana highway with a bus full of students. The bus was headed to the Science City in Kapurthala when a truck struck the bus and made the bus unrecognizable. The accident resulted in 5 injuries and 1 death of a teacher sitting on the front passenger seat. The heavy fog contributed to the accident along with high speeding by the driver. The students were in shock when a normal day turned into tragedy.
India records some of the highest road accidents due to not enough regulations and enforcement. The kids were from a public school from Sangrur, Punjab of senior secondary school. The bus driver survived the tremendous impact. The police told the press that fog caused the incident as the visibility was low and the driver drove right into a truck parked on the road.
High speeding is also being blamed for the tragic accident in the fog.
