Historic Damdami Birh Once Thought Lost Is in Possession of Sikhs

One of the most historic Saroops of Guru Granth Sahib Ji known as the Damadami Birh written by Bhai Mani Singh Ji under the direction of Guru Gobind Singh Ji (written at what is now Gurdwara Damdama Sahib, the Fifth Takht of Sikhs) is at Gurudwara Sahib Shaheedi , Village Kuthala. It was once thought the Saroop was lost during the Wadda Ghallughara in 1762. Previously, it was believed that Ahmed Shah Abdali had taken the Saroop back to Afghanistan after his invasion and became lost ever since. However, the Puratan Sikhs managed to escape the holocaust and took the Saroop to a safe place and has remained with GurSikhs ever since.
