During protests against the sacrilege of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji in Kapurthala, 2 Sikhs along with a Hindu man were falsely arrested for a crime they didn’t commit. The man named Ajay Kumar has denied being involved in the sacrilege and stated he’s being framed.

In reality, Ajay Kumar was protesting against the sacrilege because his family was hurt after hearing angs of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji were torn by miscreants. The family has immense respect for Guru Sahib and have stated their son was arrested without any evidence.

The family told reporters that the police had offered to release their son if he accepted the crime in writing. However, the family has refused to do so as they say their son is innocent.

Sikhs in the area honored the father of Ajay Kumar for standing against the allegations.
