The battlefield of athletes began in Ranchi on 7th September ,2013 when athletes from all over the country came to show their best zest of energy and performance at 53rd Athletic National Open Championship .The son of Punjab “S.Ravinder Singh Khera’’ of Patiala has given an immense pride to the motherland by bagging Gold medal in the Javelin Throw at the Championship by scoring his best of 75.47 m distance.Now,Ravinder became the national champion of the game after this stunning victory at the Championship in Ranchi. The player has represented India internationally as well in many competitions and grabbed many medals for the same.He was twice the winners of the Victorian Javelin Trow Championship in Australia and won bronze in Australia’s Hunter Track Classic in February 2013 and ranked fourth in Briggs Track Hobart Championship 2013,Australia.

1185733_626351354052078_280374720_n He was ranked 3rd in Australia recently and his world ranking was 13th till April 2013 and unfortunately he got injured during the play in Brisbane which affected his ranking.Now Ravinder is all back to set fire in the game field again and he is keen to represent India in Common wealth games in 2014.On this occasion Ravinder says “His family was always been a great support for his push towards sports’’.Wish him all the good luck for his bright future.
