Gurdwara Vandalized in Canada With Shocking Profanity

Sikh Gurdwara Edmonton

A Gurdwara Sahib in South Edmonton was vandalized with phrases ‘leave Canada’ and ‘F* Indians’.

The Gurdwara head was very shocked and sad after reading the graffiti on the exterior wall of the Gurdwara.

The members have refused to contact the police as they feel the Gurdwara is safe and their is no threat. The Gurdwara Sahib was sprayed in the past and it’s not yet determined the cause or who has done it.

The members want to take this opportunity to teach the people about the values and principles of what the Sikh Faith is all about.

The Gurdwara head has stated he doesn’t believe there will be of any value to prosecute any individuals.

“Rather, we would like to use this as an opportunity to invite them to the gurdwara — which is a place that is open to all, of any faith and any background — to learn more about the Sikhs and who we are.”

All Sikh Gurdwaras provide free meals throughout the day and the members would like to invite community members to attend and learn about the Sikh faith.

Previously the Gurdwara was vandalized with saying “Go Back” and the members replaced the signs saying “Love Your Neighbour” and “You are Home.”
