In a bid to make healthcare affordable to all, what is being touted as the country’s “cheapest” diagnostic facility will start functioning at Gurdwara Bangla Sahib in December. Here, an MRI will cost just Rs 50, according to the Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee (DSGMC).
A dialysis centre is also being set up at Guru Harkrishan Hospital on the gurdwara premises. It will start functioning next week. A dialysis procedure will cost only Rs 600, DSGMC president Manjinder Singh Sirsa told news agency PTI.
The machines were donated to the hospital and the cost was about 6 crore rupees. The set of machines included a machine for dialysis, ultrasound, x ray, and the MRI.
Those in need will be charged 50rs for the scans.
