According to NDTV, three to four terrorists in Army uniform entered India at the Hiranagar border in Jammu early this morning and opened fire at a bus before attacking a police station in Punjab’s Gurdaspur, killing two policemen.
A civilian has also been killed. “We didn’t realise when they came and started shooting…they were wearing army uniforms,” the policeman, covered in blood, said as he was being rushed to safety. One of the terrorists was a woman, he alleged.
A terror attack has taken place in Punjab’s Gurdaspur. Armed gunmen dressed in Army uniform opened fire on civilian bus, injuring 7 passengers and 3 police officials.
5 have been reported dead and the army, BSF, and NSG commandoes have been called.
Army has reached the encounter site where the gunmen have taken over a police station in Gurdaspur.
Families of the policemen have been held hostage by the militants.
The militants reportedly came from the neighboring country through Jammu and Kashmir.
