A media report has cited that Jathedar of Takht Sri Keshgarh Giani Mal Singh who was attacked early morning yesterday has decided to drop charges against the attacker. Giani Mal Singh said, “The man might have done the act out of emotion” and he further stated that he didn’t want any action against the man.
The decision to pardon Dera Sirsa chief Ram Rahim by the Jathedars is not coming to an end and has taken a new turn, as Giani Mal Singh (Jathedar of Takht Sri Kesgarh Sahib) was attacked by a Paathi Singh outside his residence at approximately 11.50am. The attacker, identified as Joga singh (25) of Majithia, Amritsar was armed with a sharp edged weapon.
The attack comes just days after extra security was provided to Giani Gurbachan Singh, Giani Gurmukh Singh and Giani Mal Singh following the angry reaction to their decision of Sikh of pardoning Ram Rahim who had committed blasphemous acts in 2007
