(DSU News Bureau) A rare finding of ancient artifacts of Sikh History found in village Mokam near Amritsar has created a stir in the village. The farmer named Kamaljeet Singh found old rare coins, Nanakshahi bricks, a stove and other artifacts.
The innocent farmer reported the findings to the police who then confiscated the priceless treasure. The farmer lost out on a possible cashing in on the rare artifacts as now he will receive nothing from the government.
Apparently, Kamaljeet doesn’t know such rare findings are tough to come across but he did the ethical thing of reporting to higher authorities.
The artifacts became the talk of the town with locals wondering who the artifacts belonged to. The police officer said the artifacts will be given to the appropriate department to analyze which period they are from.
