Family Donates $15,000 Chaur Sahib to Sri Darbar Sahib

A Sikh family donated a Chaur Sahib with 300 grams of gold to Sri Darbar Sahib. The Chaur Sahib was donated by a Madhya Pradesh family called teh Bhatias. The news was reported by the Sikh news agency Sikh24.

At the current value of gold, the 300 grams of gold come out to be about $15,000 dollars.

When the Chaur Sahib was presented to the head granthi Giani Jagtar Singh, the donor Gurdeep Singh Bhatia and his family members were given a siropa.

Gurdeep Singh is a noted member of the SGPC from Hazur Sahib.

Daler Mehendi in August donated a Chaur Sahib to the Delhi DSGMC to be installed at Sri Nankana Sahib in August 2019.
