Karachi, Dec 16: Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has reached Peshawar to supervise the rescue operations in Army Public School wherein at least 104 students have been killed and several severely injured in an attack by the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP).
Almost 10 terrorists stormed inside the school dressed as Frontier Corps’ officers and two to three militants have been killed.
According to Dawn News, ambulances are stationed about a kilometre away from the Army Public School.
The TTP spokesman Muhammad Khorasani said that the attackers were asked to target the older children but not the younger ones.
Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif condemned the attack saying that the terrorists should not be spared and that the kids were the foremost priority at the moment.
The army is trying to bring the situation under control as 500 students and teachers are still believed to be trapped inside the school.
